Retirement announcement

Dr Stephen Corcoran has been a GP Partner at The Speedwell Practice, caring for patients and being an integral member of our practice team for nearly thirty years.

It is with mixed feelings that we would like to announce that he will be retiring from his role at the end of December 2021.

We will miss his big personality and his positive take on life, but wish him well on his new adventures during the well-earned retirement.

We are not saying good bye to him entirely as he will be helping with occasional sessions when needed.

“Ending my last year as a partner, I’m sad to leave such a wonderful practice. I’ve benefited hugely from working with patients who have inspired and challenged me to think differently. At Speedwell I have also been able to follow up a variety of interests, from home births to diabetes, ophthalmology and medicine of old age. I reluctantly accepted some roles only to discover their value. I’ve loved interacting with people from so many different cultures and backgrounds. I hope to remain curious and help where I can!

I sincerely thank everyone for the past twenty seven years!”
